some stories

Last night Steve and Ethan walked to the park and took a tennis ball with them. Someone else must have walked off with their tennis ball because they couldn't find it when they went to come home. We have talked plenty since then about taking things that aren't yours, sharing and forgiveness. This morning Ethan very intentionally walked over to me, handed me one of his toys and then as he was walking away he told me "it's very nice to share my toys with other people". Hopefully some things are sinking in. I know he's thinking about it.

Today he also ran to get me as I was cleaning another room and yelled excitedly "mom, come quick, my choo choo trains are having a birthday party!" We sang happy birthday, scooped them imaginary ice cream and put chocolate sauce on the ice cream as we ate it. It is really much easier for me to play with him now that he's got such an imagination, I love it!

Another cute one is that he loves to play the Lion King. We act out various scenes, or make up our own scenarios playing various characters. He can sing many of the songs now and loves to talk about who sings which song, and which guys are good and bad. So funny.

We were in South Carolina over Labor day weekend. Here are some fun pics from the weekend!

Someone gave Ethan a foul ball that had been signed by one of the players!

Ethan wouldn't look at me, the chik-fil-a cow was dancing in the background :)

Waiting out the rain delay

A dip in the pool!
