house hunting

So, after saying goodbye to our Indiana house, we are now beginning the search for our new Minnesota house! We went to a few open houses over the weekend and it got us pretty excited to begin searching. We are going out today with a realtor, not in a big rush to buy, but hoping that we find the right thing for us!

I realized that I don't have any fussy pictures of Ethan and I really do love his lower lip when he pouts :) So in order to capture the full range of his personality, I took a few video clips of sad Ethan. He really is adorable to me even when he's cranky! Go here to view the video. There are plenty of other videos there, so check them all out.

And it's actually pretty hard to get a cranky picture of him. Each time I pull out the camera he gets interested in looking at the camera and forgets that he's unhappy, haha. And don't worry, when I was done video taping his sweet little crying, we took a walk and he was much happier until he fell asleep in the stroller.

Things appear to now be all set to close on our home in Indiana this Friday. Please pray that everything goes smoothly, and that there are no hold-ups or delays! We are sad to see that house go, but excited to get on with the move, and have that wrapped up.

3 months old!

Ethan is now 3 months old! He's getting so fun and interactive, we love the time that we spend with him. He's now outgrown most of his 3 month clothes, and is mostly wearing 6 month+, some even 9-12 month stuff!! He loves to suck on his first few fingers, and is quite good at getting them so far in his mouth that he gags himself, haha.

He's started giggling at random things, and he has quite the funny little belly laugh. His tummy time is really starting to click, and he can hold his head up for quite some time, though he still doesn't necessarily love it. He's also quite good at holding a "conversation" with anyone who'll listen and talk back.

Also, as you can see by the first picture, he's getting good at grabbing things once they're placed in or near his hand. He just started swatting purposefully at his toys, and I think that he's figured out that his hands are useful to him now.

It's so fun to watch him develop, it seems like a new skill is acquired about every day!

fun milestones

Ethan swatted purposefully at his toys for the first time today :) Of course, this video was taken at the end of his playing, so he was getting pretty tired. He had so much coordination that it surprised me!!

Lastly, Steve is heading down to Lafayette this weekend for packing and moving out the last of our stuff out of our house! We are set to close a week from Friday, yay :)
