trying so hard to talk

Ethan is trying really hard to use his voice :) He looks at your mouth when you talk, and moves his mouth, sticks out his tongue, etc. It's so fun to watch him try to figure it out. And he still loves to smile at us!

Steve, his dad, and our brother in law Cordelle went down to Lafayette this weekend for a power work weekend. They spent it working on the house, fixing it up with a fresh set of eyes to hopefully attract a buyer! We still have yet to get an offer, so we'd like to change that soon :) I think that they are all a bit sore and tired, but we're so thankful that they were able to get a significant amount of work done.

Ethan only woke up once during the night to eat! He woke up really smiley today and I did too :) He sure does love to smile at his papa. I'll try to get it on video, it really is cute to see him go from serious to smiling. I can't wait till he can giggle, it sometimes looks like he's trying to!

Steve wasn't a fan of this outfit. He said it looked like he had a skirt on. Good thing he's growing so fast he'll outgrow it soon :)

Ethan's getting more alert and interactive when he's awake. It's tons of fun!

Easter outfit

Ethan caught my cold this past week, and so he's been pretty sniffly and sneezy lately. We stopped by the pediatrician to make sure that everything was ok, and that it was indeed "just a cold". He was up to 11lbs 7oz. The kid is growing like a weed. He's getting over his cold, and Steve is recovering too - he caught my cold as well.

We had a fun Easter, spending lots of time with lots of friends and family.

Make sure you have your volume turned up for this one :) Ethan was conked out on Steve's lap the other day and we all started cracking up at how loudly he was snoring! He's never done it since then, but it sure was cute.
