April fools!

Tomorrow is April fool's day! Over the years I've only played a handful of tricks on Steve, and only a couple of April fool's day tricks. I've learned that the ones where you lie don't go over too well in a relationship :P A few years ago I made all of Steve's computer's noises (like clicking, closing a window, etc) really funny sounds, and turned them up super loud to confuse him when he got on. That was pretty funny to see how bewildered he was when he started opening windows and clicking things.

April fools day tricks were much more popular when I was little. I once had a 2nd grade teacher grow a beard out for a month or two over the winter, then on April 1st he came in cleanly shaven, telling us he was a sub - his brother. The whole day we debated over whether or not it was him or his brother, I totally thought it was his brother. At the end of the day he told that it was actually him, and added a big "April Fools!" and gave us an extra recess. Being 2nd graders, everyone loved it. That was definitely the most elaborate April fool's trick I've ever seen pulled off. Anyone have any fun plans up their sleeves for tomorrow?

Ok, sometimes maybe Technology isn't that bad. Check this out

That would be awesome to know that my wallet isn't actually in my purse when I grab it and run to Walmart. Once I actually got as far as the check-out counter with a cart full of groceries and realized that my wallet was not with me. How annoying! I was so frustrated about that one. But I haven't let it happen since. Definitely double and triple checking now. It would be really great to just look at my purse and know that my cell phone or wallet is missing.

Ahhh! Technology!

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to pair my bluetooth headset with our computer. I'm pressing buttons, trying to get it into pairing mode, and I hear, "Hello?". Oops! I accidentally dialed someone and then hung up. My phone is too far away, so Steve's phone must be nearer and made the call... but I'm thinking that it's fine, it was probably just his brother or parents or something. I can call them back and explain and laugh. So I find his phone and look up who he called. It was someone from his work. Shoot, now I feel bad and I hope I didn't call them repeatedly before he answered. And I hope he's not too annoyed! If you get random calls from Steve or me hanging up tonight, it's just me trying to figure out how this stuff works.

Easter's almost here!

Ok, I felt like a complete idiot but on Sunday when everyone was talking about Easter I thought it was kind of weird, being that Easter was 2 weeks away. Then in the 3rd service they announced that Easter was this weekend! My heart dropped and I didn't really believe it at first. I knew that Steve had practice for the Passion Play, I just thought that they were getting an early start on it or something. Oh boy, how in the world did I loose a week somewhere there. Could have been the week I spent in bed :) I am still kind of in shock... it's already the 19th!

Is it just me or does this thing remind you of Star Wars? And it kind of freaked me out watching the video.

Lost

I have been watching Lost online, and I've just finished season 1. I must be a little too into it because this morning before I woke I up, I vaguely heard something and it registered as the trumpets that sound when the "monster" is around. I remember thinking "oh, no" and that whatever it was it was outside. Then I realized that it was a train whistle :)

This past week I've been sick, very sick. Whatever has been going around finally hit me as well. It wasn't pretty. But I'm out of bed for the first time in many days, and am totally sapped of any energy. Now our cupboards are bare, and our fridge is pretty sparse. Just thinking of going to Walmart makes me want to crawl back into bed. Are there any drive-through grocery stores? Why don't those exist?
